Denim Care
Caring for your jeans is an important part of maintaining the original look and feel for as long as possible. As with any cotton product, jeans will change after the first wash, and will also naturally mould to fit your body as you wear them. Here are some tips to keep your denim looking good for as long as possible:
1. Always wash cold, inside out, with a mild detergent. Washing jeans inside out will help keep the indigo colour from fading, and washing cold will minimize garment shrinkage.
2. For our marbled products, wash by hand, inside out, in the bathtub. Hand washing will help preserve the vibrancy of the marbling paint. We recommend using a handwashing laundry soap such as Soak, or a lingerie detergent.
3. Hang jeans to dry. Hanging jeans to dry minimizes shrinkage, and also reduces wear and tear on the fabric, increasing longevity. After hanging to dry, we find that drying in the dryer on the Ultra Low/No Heat/Air Dry setting for 10 minutes at the end of the drying process can help get the wrinkles out. Be careful not to dry jeans with hot air, as this may cause them to shrink in length.
